20.11.2014 On the night of October 25-26, a young man, 21 years old, an environmental activist, Rémi Fraisse, was murdered by the French police during a protest against the construction of a dam in the south of France. While the weak government of François Hollande was seeking to make its "authority" worth something, this crime could cause quite the opposite. For the time being, only the great "respect for the republican institutions" of reformist parties and organizations and even of groups of the "far left," allows the crisis not to intensify and turn into a massive popular mobilization.
16.10.2014 20 days after the massacre of the normalistas (students studying to be teachers) from Ayotzipana, Mexico and the disappearance of 43 of them, the indignation of the people in the country has grown, as has the disapproval of President Enrique Peña Nieto
15.10.2014 The execution of 22 alleged criminals in Tlataya, Mexico State, at the hands of the army last June and the massacre of student teachers in Iguala, Guerrero, have opened up an institutional crisis in Mexico. This, in a context of the rise of the impunity with which the groups of drug traffickers and hired killers, that fill the streets with corpses, are acting, where the ungovernable nature is obvious.
15.08.2014 After 4 days of protests, dozens of arrests and two people wounded by the police (one of them in critical condition), anger continues on the streets of Ferguson, a small place in the state of Missouri. "No justice, no peace," "Hands up, don't shoot," "Where is Mike? Everywhere!" are some of the slogans of the mobilizations and protests unleashed by the murder of Mike Brown.
On Saturday, August 9, in the city of Ferguson (Missouri, US), a cop murdered the African American teenager Mike Brown, 18 years old. The police stated at the beginning that Brown had attacked the police officer, but all the witnesses claim that the young man was unarmed, and they shot him when he had his hands in the air (an obvious sign to show that one is unarmed). Mike had recently finished high school and was getting ready to enter university the following Monday.
06.02.2014 Last January 25 was marked, in several capital cities, by the first actions against the injustices related to the Soccer World Cup, among which, São Paulo, that had more than three thousand participants, ended with police repression, hundreds of people locked up and wounded, and the attempted assassination of a demonstrator by the police.
08.09.2013 Tens of thousands of migrants who have seen themselves forced from their countries of origin because of war, political activism, discrimination, poverty etc., continue to have to endure discrimination and repression by the German authorities.
27.06.2013 On June 26, the students’ struggle against the marketization of the education – a legacy of Pinochet’s regime which has been maintained and deepened by the Concertación coalition, which has governed since the return of democracy in 1990 – took a big step forward when workers and students marched together.
